RII20720 Certificate II in Civil Construction

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working in an operational role in civil construction, who undertake a prescribed range of tasks using limited practical skills and fundamental knowledge, in a defined context working under supervision.

We will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge to undertake a range of manual labouring tasks and other entry level tasks found on civil construction sites. You will learn about safe work practices, using equipment, tools and effective communication. Students are required to read the Student Handbook and agree to the Terms and Conditions prior to enrolment. All candidates must satisfactorily complete a language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) assessment as well as a course suitability discussion during the enrolment process. You will receive course confirmation after your enrolment has been reviewed.

All students require a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI). Assessment methods vary according to the specific requirements for the unit of competency but may include written knowledge questions, projects, demonstration of skill, reports, and direct observation of practical tasks. Alternative methods of assessment are based on reasonable adjustment.

Practical aspects of the training may be conducted at a different location to the classroom components based on facility availability.
